I am not an artist, so I may not be able to post my own creations. I will try though :)
Changes to start panel does not get applied when reloading.

This must be a known issue from what I read on several WindowBlind skin download instructions. They ask you to delete the previous version of the skin first!

After updating the start panel part of a WindowBlinds skin, if I click 'apply' in the Skin Studio, the changes do not get applied. I tried closing the Skin Studio and then apply the skin from WindowBlinds itself and it still do not work. I know simple apply works for parts like window title, window borders etc.

The way I work around this problem is like this:
1. Pack the skin in to a WBA file from Skin Studio.
2. Close Skin Studio (the only way to get the folder's file handle closed?)
3. Open WindowBlinds and apply another style.
4. Delete the skin.
5. Double click the saved WBA file and apply the skin.

This method have worked for me so far but involved too many steps and time consuming. Hopefully this problem is resolved in version 6 of the products.

How are the masters around here testing their skins while developing? Have you seen this issue?

All I do is click the 'save and apply' button in SkinStudio and it works flawlessly. Are you saving the skin, or just applying? Could be as simple as that

Yes, I do save and then apply. I do not see them as a single button. They are 2 different buttons "Save" and "Apply". If I make changes and try to apply without saving, SkinStudio asks me whether I want to save it first.

My SkinStudio version is 5.0.1 Build 1112.

That is because the skin name has not changed thus previous needs to be deleted so that WB will properly install the new version.

I have been using WB and SkinStudio since 4.0, I have never had problems when save and apply changes.

I have Windows XP 64 bit edition. Is that the problem? I saw some other thread that I cannot remember where someone had issues with 64 bit edition of wbload.exe.

jamespaulp: What happens if you edit the skin, save it and then goto the skin folder & delete *.WB64 and then apply?

I will try as soon as I have a complete reproducible scenario. I have observed that it doesn't occur right away, but after applying the theme over and over after minor changes to images.

I do not make changes to images in the theme folder. I have an image folder where I modify the image and then use the import file feature. Note that when you use the import file feature, Skin Studio does not enable the Save button unless the image type or name changes. I just need to click apply.

@Neil: Apply skin worked as expected after deleting the *.wb64. I had to wait until apply skin stopped working for start panel items. It is a better solution for me than the current one I use. The trick may that when I delete the skin, *.wb64 goes away with that. Thanks.
